Description

This work explores the boundary between nature and the artificial, the primitive and the modern. It reinterprets the primal act of early humans—gathering materials from nature to craft tools for survival—within a contemporary context. The process began with the collection of branches from rural orchards and reclaimed timber aged by time, each bearing its own traces that add depth to the work. After shaping the form, a sand-casting technique was applied, preserving the natural texture and contours while merging them with the cold materiality of metal. In this way, the Neo-Primitive Bench emerges as a new entity—neither wood nor metal, but something in between.
