Seating Seoul  is a project that showcases chairs designed and made by designers based in Seoul. It looks at the city’s contemporary design trends and aims to create a platform that connects designers, makers, and potential users and collectors. The project also shares the ideas and practices of today’s diverse creators—designers, artisans, and researchers—who explore the meaning of the chair. Sitting is one of our most ordinary actions, yet it also reveals the connections between material and place, body and system, making the chair a powerful cultural symbol.
